2D gels are a rich source for proteome research approaches and their generation at the Proteome Center Rostock is closely following in-house SOPs accompanied by rigid quality assessment measures.

A variety of 2D-gels from various research projects that are carried out at the Proteome Center Rostock are shown as examples. Such gels function as "reference gels" after mass spectrometric identification and structural characterization of the underlying proteins.
